Ashutosh Hans is an advocate practising at the District & Sessions Courts, Gurugram and at Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, and appears before the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Delhi High Court.

His practice is centred on criminal law: anticipatory and regular bail, advice at the FIR and investigation stage, trial defence, criminal revisions and petitions to quash FIRs. A large part of his work involves cyber crime, including complaints to recover money lost in online fraud and applications to release bank accounts frozen by cyber cells, and economic offences such as cheating, criminal breach of trust and investment fraud investigated by the Economic Offences Wing.

On the civil side, he handles urgent injunctions and stay orders against dispossession, illegal construction and sale of disputed property, and arbitration matters, from interim relief under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act to the challenge and enforcement of awards. He also takes up cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, property, family and matrimonial disputes, recovery suits, RERA, consumer and writ matters.

His approach is simple: explain the legal position and the options in plain language before any step is taken, prepare every document carefully, and keep the client informed at each stage. He works from Chamber No. 146, SBS Block, District & Sessions Courts, Gurugram, and Chamber No. 193, Western Wing, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.
